the story of the silent film ‘A Dog’s Life’ was released in 1918. it was written, produced and directed by Charlie Chaplin. Chaplin plays opposite an animal. the mongrel dog Scrap is the hero of this film, as he helps the tramp Charlie and singer Edna Purviance toward a better life.
